Maikaba Opens Up On Why Rangers Failed To Beat Rivers United

Rangers International of Enugu technical adviser Abdu Maikaba has finally opened up on why they failed to secure a win against Rivers United on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flying Antelope netted the opening goal but allowed the Pride of Rivers to get back into the game as it ended 1-1.

Maikaba said his players failed to take their chances in the game.

"We created a lot of scoring opportunities earlier in the game and we did not utilize them and against the run of play, through set pieces Rivers got their equalizer.

It's part of football, so I believe the team has tried even if this is not what we planned at the start of the season", he said.

Rangers finished the season in 8th position on the table with 21 points in 18 matches.
