Mali Appoints New Head Coach Ahead Of AFCON 2023 Qualifiers

The Mali Football Federation has announced former defender of the Eagles of Mali, Eric Sékou Chelle as the new Coach of the Mali Football National Team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.


Chelle was appointed on Friday, May 6 by the Malian Football Federation as the head of the national team of Mali.


Aged 44 and a graduate of a Professional Football Coaching Certificate (BEPF), the new boss of the Eagle’s first test is to qualify Mali for the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2023) which will take place in Ivory Coast from June 23 to July 23, 2023.


Mali first game of the AFCON 2023 Qualifiers will be in Bamako against Congo on June 04, 2022.
