Mali delivered a composed and commanding performance to defeat Egypt 86–77 in a 2027 World Cup qualifying clash at the packed Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Roared on by a passionate home crowd, Egypt struggled to contain a confident Malian side that established control early through sharp perimeter shooting and disciplined ball movement. The visitors edged the opening quarter 26–22 before tightening their grip in the second period, outscoring the hosts 20–12 to carry a 12-point advantage into halftime.

Mali maintained their composure after the break, managing the tempo effectively and limiting turnovers during crucial stretches of the third quarter, which they won 23–16. Their dominance on the boards further frustrated the Egyptian side, restricting second-chance opportunities and sustaining offensive pressure.
