Mali To Replace Tunisia At 2022 FIFA World Cup

Mali will replace Tunisia if FIFA Tunisia is suspended over government interference.

FIFA statement showed the World football governing body was provoked after Tunisia Youth and Sports Minister Kamel Deguiche said he will dissolve the 'federal bureaux'. The Tunisian Football Federation has been cautioned to get the situation under control because if it gets out hand, the FIFA hammer will drop on them.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup would be the country's fifth participation if they eventually miss being suspended and take part. They have however unable to get pass the group stage in their previous participation.

Mali on the other hand will fly their country's flag at the competition finals for the first time if Tunisia is suspended.

The North Africans revenged their African Nations Cup loss to Mali by picking the World Cup ticket after the two legs of the African FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March 2022.
