French Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille has shown interest in Zaidu Sanusi and is ready to send an offer to FC Porto for the defender, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
The situation is becoming urgent at Marseille, as they need more left-back options.
Recall, Marseille does not wish to keep Nuno Tavares following the expiration of his loan deal, as the Portuguese international was often criticized for his defensive oversights, and as such returned to his parent club Arsenal.
And to make matters worse, the management of the French club has informed its fans of the imminent departure of Sead Kolasinac. The versatile defender is coming to the end of his contract.
But Marseille believes their discussions would lead to no agreement, as the former Gunner is unhappy with the offer, so he would rather take the offer from Atalanta Bergamo.
According to several Portuguese media, Olympic Marseille could send an offer to FC Porto in the coming days.
The 26-year-old Nigerian extended his deal until 2027 last October, with a release clause of 50 million euros. But the source claims the Dragons are willing to negotiate a lower amount.
Sanusi has indeed lost his starting place during the season and this could also open the door to a move to the Vélodrome where he scored during Porto's 2-0 win in the UEFA Champions League (2-0) in November 2020.
