A major crisis has hit the Djibouti Football Association (FDF) as members of its executive committee have started submitting their resignation letters amid growing concerns over the continued poor performance of the national teams and alleged financial mismanagement, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The first wave of resignations has reportedly begun with members of the Board of Directors stepping down from their positions, creating uncertainty within the leadership structure of the federation.
The move comes after a difficult period for Djibouti football, with the country’s national teams struggling to achieve positive results in international competitions.
Apart from the sporting challenges, allegations of financial misappropriation have also reportedly contributed to the growing dissatisfaction among officials and stakeholders within the federation.
The Djibouti Football Association is yet to release an official statement addressing the resignations or clarify the next steps regarding the leadership vacuum.
Further developments are expected as more details emerge from the federation’s ongoing internal situation.
