The Nationwide League One (NLO) Disciplinary Committee has dismissed the match-fixing allegation filed by Warrinje FC against the match involving Wikki Tourist Feeders FC and Adamu Jumba FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In its ruling, the Committee stated that Warrinje FC failed to provide sufficient evidence to support the public allegations of match manipulation made against the two clubs.

According to the NLO, such unsubstantiated accusations are capable of damaging the integrity, credibility, and commercial value of the amateur league system. As a result, the Committee rejected the claims and invoked relevant provisions of the NLO Disciplinary Code.

The Committee also confirmed that the official result of the match a 2-1 victory in favour of Wikki Tourist Feeders FC will stand.

As part of the sanctions imposed, Warrinje FC has been fined ₦2 million, payable to the NLO Secretariat within seven days from the date of the ruling.

The club was also directed to publish a formal retraction of the match-fixing allegations in two national daily newspapers.

In addition, the NLO issued a stern warning to Warrinje FC, urging the club to ensure that future allegations are properly substantiated before making them public or reporting them to league authorities.

The ruling, dated May 19, 2026, takes immediate effect.

However, Warrinje FC retains the right to appeal the decision before the Nigeria Football Federation Appeals Committee within 72 hours, in line with the NLO Appeals Procedure.
