Former Super Falcons star, Maureen Mmadu has highlighted what Super Falcons players have to do to have a successful outing at the forthcoming FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with www.bsnsports.com.ng the former Pelican Queens, Jegede Babes, IL Sandviken of Norway said the players should not be distracted by the exchange of words between the Nigeria Football Federation and the head coach.

She said, "My advice to the team is to block their ears from the noise and focus on their role at the World Cup. The World Stage is different from the Nations Cup or the domestic League, and they are there to represent themselves, the country, and their family.

She added, "The players should shun the distractions and give their best at the games because that is what Nigerian fans are expecting.

"I may not be in a good position to answer, but I am in a good position to give advice. The world cup is around the corner, and we don't need these distractions creating a lot of tension." She concluded.

Maureen according to the NFF made 52 appearances for the Nigeria women's national football team, including appearing at four FIFA Women's World Cups and has competed in the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics.
