Maxmillian Ihekuna's Moldovan club, Sfinstul Gheorghe will have a mountain to climb on Sunday as they file out to stun league table toppers, FC Sheriff in front of their fans, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Though both sides are yet to lose a game this season, with three matches played, FC Sheriff have maintained their 100% performance with three wins while Sfinstul drew all three matches to be placed 4th on the log with three points.

Speaking ahead of the tough league encounter, the Nigeria U23 Eagles invitee said the team is focused on picking maximum points in today's game admitting that it's going to be a tough task, but still achievable.

"We are playing against a strong team tomorrow (Sunday) FC Sheriff. We have a positive mindset that we will come out victorious in the league game. Though not going to be an easy task." He told BSN Sports from his base in Moldova.

"As a player my target is to play in the Moldovan Cup final and qualify for the Europa Conference League. I also want to help my team to score and assist." He added.

Sfinstul Gheorghe will be host to FC Sherif in Match-day 4 of Moldovan Super Liga on Sunday at 2pm. A win to Sfinstul Gheorghe will take the team to second on the log.

The Nigeria international joined Sfinstul Sfintul Gheorghe in July 2021.

The Moldovan club has neither lost nor won in their last five games since 5th March, 2023 and would be looking to winning their first game at Sheriff.
