Meet Lucky Chinencherem, EFCC FC Prodigy Who Torments Defenders

Lucky Nwafor Chinencherem has been a nightmare to defenders in the Nigeria National League and Federation Cup respectively since joining EFCC FC on loan in the mid-season transfer window, BSNSports.com.ng writes.

Lucky was loaned by Masaka United FC of Nasarawa State to EFCC FC of Abuja during the mid-season transfer window of the second-tier League in Nigeria.

The calm-looking, but very deadly attacker hit the ground running when the NNL resumes for the final phase of the season.

He scored the only goal that earned EFCC FC a 1-0 victory over Kogi United FC in Lokoja, a superb eye-catching goal with just one control.

Round of 64 fixtures in the Federation Cup was released and EFCC FC was paired with Katukan Tsafe FC of Zamfara State. 

Lucky Nwafor Chinencherem reechoed his name on the lips of soccer lovers as he scored twice to earn EFCC FC a 4-2 win to land in the Round of 32.

The Masaka product didn't stop there, he got the opening goal for EFCC Fc on Matchday 7 of the NNL against Hypebuzz FC in Abuja, helping his team secure a 3-0 win.

Chinencherem made the headlines again in the Federation Cup Round of 32 against Akwa United, scoring another goal to put his side ahead before the Akwa Ibom State big guns drew level to force a penalty shootout that eventually ended in favor of EFCC FC.

The young promising big No. 9 traveled back to Abuja with his team to face Mailantarki Care F.C on Matchday 8 of the NNL. 

The keenly contested tie was again settled with Lucky Nwafor Chinencherem stealing the show. 

He scored the match-winner in the 52 minutes to give EFCC FC the maximum of 3 points. 

The next Stadium to announce himself was the Soun Stadium in Ogbomosho, Oyo State when the Anti Graft team filed out against ABS FC in a Matchday 9 encounter with the NNL.

The strong goal poacher grabbed two second-half goals to secure a maximum of 3 points for EFCC FC on the road, a result that puts the Abuja-based team in the best position to clinch the NPFL slot next season.

The Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State will not forget Lucky.

Sunshine Stars FC of Akure took on EFCC FC in the Round of 16 of the Federation Cup.

The Akure-based team narrowly escaped the onslaught of the Eagle-eyes attacker as he scored another brace for EFCC FC, though the Owena Waves ran away with a 3-2 win.

The 17-year-old powerful center-forward loanee from Masaka United FC has now scored ten (10) goals in just seven matches in all competitions in the colors of EFCC FC within a short spell.

There is arguably no striker in the Nigeria Football Leagues who can boast of such a feat.
