Meseret Dinke Wins Women’s Title At Lagos City Marathon

Ethiopia’s Meseret Dinke delivered a commanding performance to claim the women’s title at the Lagos City Marathon, crossing the finish line in an impressive time of 2:37:36, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The seasoned long-distance runner outpaced a competitive field to secure first place, once again underlining her pedigree on the international marathon circuit.

 Her victory adds another medal to her growing collection and further cements her status as one of Ethiopia’s consistent performers in road racing.

Dinke maintained a steady pace throughout the 42-kilometre race, navigating the demanding Lagos course with composure and tactical discipline. 

As the race progressed, she gradually pulled clear of her closest challengers before sealing the win in emphatic fashion.

The Lagos City Marathon, one of Africa’s premier road races, attracted elite athletes from across the continent and beyond, but it was Dinke who stood tall in the women’s category.
