Mexico 2-1 Nigeria: First Game, First Loss For Jose Paseiro

The Super Eagles of Nigeria in Sunday morning lost 1-2 to Mexico senior national team in their international friendly match played at the AT&T Stadium, Dallas Texas, USA, BSNSports.com.ng can report.


Santiago Gimenez put Mexico ahead taking advantage of misunderstanding between the goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho and Chidozie Awaziem.


However, eight minutes into the second half, in-form and Europa Conference League highest goal scorer, Cyriel Dessers was found by Calvin Bassey's cross, Dessers header beat the goalkeeper to draw level the scoreline.


William Troost Ekong however, restored Mexico lead when he tapped a low cross into his own net. The loss means that Jose Paseiro started Super Eagles job with a loss, though, the advantage is that he knows he has a lot to do before another International friendly match on June 2nd.
