Newly signed Nigerian striker Terem Moffi has expressed his delight after completing a loan move to Portuguese giants FC Porto from French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Super Eagles forward sealed the switch on Friday after successfully passing his medical, marking a major step in his European career as he joins one of the continent’s most decorated clubs.
Speaking after his arrival, Moffi admitted that joining the former European champions is a dream moment for him.
"I feel very proud to be here. Wearing the colours of this club means a lot to me and I can only thank the president, the coach and the fans,” he said.
He also highlighted Porto’s winning mentality and rich history, describing the move as a major motivation in his career.
“Everyone knows FC Porto, a club that fights to win games and trophies in Europe and in Portugal. I know how important that is for the fans, for the Porto family, so it’s very good to be here,” Moffi added.
The Nigerian striker also reflected on his recent experience of playing against Porto, noting the emotional contrast of now wearing the club’s colours.
“Two months ago, I played against FC Porto and I didn’t have good feelings because we lost. This time, I’m on the other side and I feel very good.”
Moffi will be hoping to make an immediate impact at the Estádio do Dragão as Porto push for domestic success and strong performances in European competitions.
