Moffi Returns After 314 Days Out
Sampson Adedeji
After a 314-day absence, Terem Moffi made his long-awaited return to action on Saturday, his last competitive appearance came in a 2-2 draw against Lille on May 19, 2024, the final day of last season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Coincidentally, he returned to the same stadium where his OGC Nice journey truly began, having scored his first two goals for the club away to Monaco on February 26, 2023.
The Nigeria international completed his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury and came off the bench in the 83rd minute of the derby at Stade Louis II.
His 15-minute cameo marked a significant milestone, bringing joy to his club and fans as the season nears its conclusion.
Since joining Le Gym in early 2023, Moffi has scored 20 goals in 53 appearances.
His injury sidelined him from Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers, making his return even more significant.
