Monday Gift Excited To Make WAFCON Debut, Focus On Burundi Game

FC Robo striker, Monday Gift has said she is honoured to have made her Super Falcons debut in the ongoing 2022 African Women Cup of Nations in Morocco, BSNsports.com.ng gathered


The talented attacker burst into the limelight when her goals made Bayelsa Queens the champions of the 2022 Nigeria Women Football League.

She was on loan to the champions for Super 6 and showed amazing performance, coupled with goals which earned her a call-up to the national team.

Gift made her debut in the must-win match against Mares of Botswana and ensured they emerged the winner by 2-0.

" It is a true blessing and honour to have made my dreamed WAFCON2022 debut with Nigeria. 

To have played a part in our first win of the tournament is special and a great moment for my budding career.


Now, I'm focused on the task ahead to do Nigeria proud against Burundi," she said.
