More Players Leave U17 Camp As Team Intersify Preparations For Tour of Europe

The coaching crew of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) U17 boys team have asked some players to leave their as selection process hots up, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
25 out of the invited 50 players in camp will make the final list, this led to release of some the players who have not met up with the required skills to make the final list.
The NPFL U17 Youth team have failed to win a game (drew one and lost one) in their two friendly matches in Abuja.
Speaking with www.bsnsports.com.ng after their 1-3 loss to Central Football Academy at the FIFA Goal Project, Abuja on Saturday, the Assistant Coach Ken Chuku while reacting to questions, said, "We are still on selection process, it's not a bad game but we lost. From where I came from, we don't like losing but in football, you win some, you lose some.
"Based on that, it's a work in progress. As you can see, the team was divided after the match, some have to go while others remain in camp, that's why this match is important.
He continued, For now, the result doesn't matter what matters is the building process of the team. The match is making us to get the team better. So we need more of friendly matches.
The team will be ready before they depart for Spain. We are not relenting in getting the best out of the team. We have started dropping some players to give others the opportunity to come in for replacement. It's a screening process among those players we invited, we give each player 45 minutes on the pitch and after monitoring them, we retain some while other have to leave.
Within the next 14 days, the team will be ready, we are rounding off already. "He concluded.
NPFL U17 Youth team will embark on a tour of Europe in Spain to play against Sevilla and Atletico Madrid among other U17 Laliga youth teams.
