The Moroccan Football Federation is reportedly positioning itself for greater influence within global football administration, with its president, Fouzi Lekjaa, emerging as a candidate for a top role at FIFA, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to sources, Lekjaa is being considered for the position of First Vice President under current FIFA president Gianni Infantino in the governing body’s next leadership cycle.
The potential candidacy underscores Morocco’s growing footprint in international football politics, following its recent successes in hosting major tournaments and its national team’s strong performances on the global stage.
Lekjaa’s bid would place him among the most influential figures in world football administration, further strengthening Africa’s representation at the highest level of the sport.
