Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, got off to a flying start in the final round of the 2025 U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, cruising to a commanding 4-0 victory over Algeria on Saturday in Ikenne, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The hosts wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Queen Joseph opening the scoring in the 3rd minute.

Just ten minutes later, Raji doubled the lead, and Joseph bagged her brace to give Nigeria a 3-0 advantage before halftime.

The second leg of the qualifier is scheduled for Friday, April 25, in Blida, Algeria.
