With just 50 days to the kickoff of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has unveiled a specially branded aircraft decked in the vibrant colours of the upcoming continental showpiece, underscoring Morocco’s readiness to host Africa’s most prestigious football event, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The unveiling ceremony, held on Saturday, marked a symbolic milestone in the countdown to the tournament, which will take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
“Our aircraft proudly displays the colours of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, through a special livery a symbol of pride, passion, and unity,” the airline said in a statement. “From the pitch to the sky, Royal Air Maroc carries the spirit of African football.”
In anticipation of increased travel demand during the tournament, Royal Air Maroc announced plans to operate more than 660 additional flights, facilitating the movement of supporters, teams, officials, and media personnel across Morocco’s six host cities Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, Agadir, and Fez.
The AFCON-themed aircraft launch forms part of a broader partnership signed in April 2025 between Royal Air Maroc and the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which named the Moroccan national carrier an Official Global Partner of CAF’s flagship competitions.
The collaboration highlights RAM’s growing status as both an ambassador of Moroccan hospitality and a pan-African brand committed to advancing the continent’s premier sporting events.
As the tournament draws near, the airline’s initiative not only celebrates Morocco’s role as host but also reflects the nation’s passion for football, commitment to excellence, and spirit of unity.
With its AFCON-themed livery now in service, Royal Air Maroc is sending a clear message to the continent: “From the pitch to the sky, Morocco is ready to welcome Africa.”
