The Moroccan national team is rigorously training at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora in preparation for their semi-final clash against Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
Following their emphatic 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the quarter-finals, the Atlas Lions wasted no time in returning to training.
Head coach Walid Regragui is adamant about maintaining high intensity while ensuring proper recovery for the players ahead of this monumental game.
Key players, including Achraf Hakimi, Brahim Díaz, and goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, participated in group training sessions, working diligently on their tactical game plan.
Although midfielder Azzedine Ounahi is being monitored due to a minor injury sustained in the last match, he remains closely integrated with the team’s preparations.
Reaching the semi-finals marks Morocco’s best showing in the AFCON 2025 since 2004, and the expectations among the home crowd are soaring.
In light of this, Regragui has directed his players to maintain focus, underscoring that their mission is far from over.
The Atlas Lions are set to face Nigeria this Wednesday night at 9 p.m. at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with a coveted place in the AFCON 2025 final on the line.
