Morocco Rejects AFCON 2025 Postponement

The Federation of Morocco Royal Football under Fouzi Lekja has turned down the offer of having the 2025 African Cup of Nations postponed, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The timing of the 35th edition of the competition has become a subject of discussion recently as it has clashed with the upcoming 32-club FIFA Club World Cup that will commence almost the same time.

FIFA under Gianni Infantino approached Morocco to have the tournament moved to 2027 and that 2027 moved to 2029.

But Lekja turned down the approach and insisted that the next AFCON will take place next summer.
