Morocco Vs Senegal: CAF Clears Congolese Referee Of Any Error

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has cleared Congolese referee Jean-Jacques Ndala of any wrongdoing following the controversies that trailed the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations between Senegal and Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ndala, who officiated the highly charged encounter, had come under intense scrutiny after protests and complaints from both camps over several key decisions during the final.

 However, after a comprehensive internal review process, CAF confirmed that no errors, irregularities, or ethical breaches were established against the match official.

In an official communication, CAF stated that its assessment panel found no evidence of misconduct, reaffirming the integrity of the officiating process and the credibility of the match officials involved.

“The Confederation of African Football confirms the seriousness, competence, and high level of professionalism of referee Jean-Jacques Ndala,” the statement read.

CAF further reiterated its confidence in the standard of refereeing across its competitions and maintained that the decisions taken during the final were in line with the Laws of the Game and existing officiating protocols.

The clearance of Ndala comes amid broader disciplinary actions already imposed by CAF on the Moroccan and Senegalese football federations and individuals involved in post-match incidents, as the continental body continues efforts to restore confidence and stability following one of the most controversial AFCON finals in recent history.
