Motsepe Begins Two-Day Tour Of CHAN 2025 Host Nations In Tanzania

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, President, Patrice Motsepe began his two-day tour of the nations that will host the CAF African Nations Championship 2025 (“CHAN”) with a visit to Tanzania on Thursday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Motsepe visited Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar on Thursday and will travel to Kenya and Uganda on Friday where he will meet with the Heads of State and football leadership in the two countries.
In Tanzania, the CAF President visited the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam where he inspected its readiness to host matches in the CHAN competition.
Motsepe thanked Tanzania’s President, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, for her commitment and support of football development in the country.
He also met with Zanzibar President Hussein Mwinyi at the State House.
The CAF President was joined by CAF 4th Vice-President Seidou Mbombo Njoya, Chairperson of the CHAN Organising Committee, Tanzania Football Federation President Wallace Karia and CAF General Secretary Veron Mosengo-Omba.
The delegation will arrive in Nairobi on Friday morning and will meet with Kenya President William Ruto and the leadership of the Kenya Football Federation.
In the afternoon, he will travel to Kampala, Uganda for a meeting with Uganda President Yoweri Museveni and the leadership of FUFA.
