Moyinoluwa Owolabi Hopes Score Against Bayelsa Queens
Ibrahim Lateef
Moyinoluwa Owolabi, arguably the youngest footballer in the NWFL has stated she is excited to have played a part in securing a vital away point for Remo Stars Queens last week against high fliers and one of the household name in Women's football, Delta Queens, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
The former Sunshine Queens player who recently switched to Remo Stars Queens was on for around 60 minutes before she was substituted in her team's second fixture of the season.
Fifteen-years-old Moyinoluwa who was on for 90 minutes in her team's first match of the season against favourites, Rivers Angels, a few months ago helped Sunshine Queens secured their return back to the NWFL when she starred for the Akure-based women side at the NWFL championship play-offs where she scored three goals thus helping Sunshine Queens secure promotion back to the summit of the Nigerian Women Football League.
The talented centre forward represented by fast rising football management company Eleshbeck Global Concept, who's also comfortable playing the role of an Attacker stated.
"I am excited to have played a part in securing our second point of the season against Delta Queens. In the last week we have played two of the top teams in the NWFL and secured a point each on both occasion.
"It was not easy getting a point away from home against Delta Queens. For us it is a very vital point and it will surely boost the morale of the team. We will not relent and will keep pushing.
"We now look forward to our next game on Wednesday 29th where we will be looking to get the maximum point and I will be hoping that the coaches will trust me once again to be in the starting line up but whatever decision is taken, the team's success is important than my personal aspirations.
"I will definitely be supporting anyone given the nod to start," concluded Moyinoluwa.
Remo Stars Queens will on Wednesday, 29th November, 2023 host Bayelsa Queens in their third game of the NWFL season.
