The Mozambique women's basketball team proved their superiority over Coted'Ivoire on Tuesday evening with a commanding performance at the ongoing 2023 Women's Afrobasket championship in Rwanda, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Both teams have to settle for a playoff clash after they failed to secure their quarter-final ticket during the group stage.

The Mozambican dominated the game from the start with a blistering performance and got a 21-7 win in the 1st quarter.

By the halftime of the encounter at the BK Arena in Kigali, Mozambique has extended their lead by 11 points, winning 37-26.

They continued their domineering display in the 3rd quarter and secured a 50-36 victory, before wrapping up the game in the final quarter 70-48.

The victory against Coted'Ivoire means Mozambique will face Nigeria's D'Tigress in the quarter-final of the competition. The quarterfinal clash will hold on Wednesday.
