NBA: Nigeria Records Highest Number Of Players From Africa, As Season Commence

The NBA season is set to start later on Tuesday and Nigeria has broken the record of the African country with the most players in a single season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the stat released by the basketball body, Nigeria will 5 players playing in the NBA this season, the highest by any African country.

For the 10th consecutive season, Canada is the most-represented country outside of the U.S., followed by France, Australia (nine players), Serbia (seven players) and Germany (six players), while Nigeria and Turkey each have five players.

The Nigeria players will be led by Josh Okogie (Phoenix Suns), Udoka Azubuike (Phoenix Suns), Charles Bassey (San Antonio Spurs), (Precious Achiuwa Toronto Raptors) and Chimezie Metu (Phoenix Sun).
