NBBF Announces Open Tryout For Female Basketball Players

The world of Basketball in Nigeria was thrown into a state of surprise late on Saturday after the Nigeria Basketball Federation ( NBBF) announced an open tryout for female players, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The federation announced on Saturday and made it clear that players discovered in the tryout will form the new D'Tigress that will represent Nigeria in the upcoming Afrobasket women championship coming up in Kigali next month.

The camp for the tryout will take place in Nigeria and also in the United States on the 8th - 9th of July.

The trials will take place twice in Nigeria, 8-9 July at the National Stadium Surulere, Lagos and 10-11 at the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja.

Nigeria's D'Tigress are the defending champions of the Women's Afrobasket after winning the competition back-to-back in the past.
