NCF Reveal Plans To Get More Women Into Cricket

The president of the Nigeria Cricket Federation ( NCF) Uyi Akpata has revealed plans of the federation to get more women into the game, BSNSports.com.ng report.
The president opened up on the plan during the ongoing 5-nations women's T20i tournament at the Tafawa Balewa cricket oval in Lagos.
He said they plan to get over 250,000 into the game in which most of which will be women.
"We are targeting 250,000 people to join cricket and half of them are women.
So, when you talk about Africa and the whole world now, I’m not sure if there is any country that is producing new female cricketers other than Nigeria.
And that is why we have received global attention to push this agenda", he said.
The competition continued on Friday after the participants observed Thursday as a rest day.
