NED Bank Cup: Super Eagles Goalkeeper Scoops MOTM Award After Penalty Saves

Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper Valentine Nwabali was the cynosure of all eyes late on Tuesday evening as he led Chippa United to victory over Polokwane City, BSNSports.com.ng report.

After representing Lobi Stars in the league last season, the lanky goalkeeper moved to South Africa and signed with Chippa United.

Nwabali started the knockout game against Polokwane on Tuesday and he was able to distinguish himself.

The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes and both teams settled for a penalty shoot-out, Nwabali stole the show as he saved 2 penalties to hand Chippa a 3-1 win.

The Super Eagles goalie has now saved 4 penalties in 3 starts for the South African club and he has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the game.
