NFF Board Gets A Week Ultimatum To Tender Resignation Letters
By Oluwayemi Omolagba
Super Eagles defeat on their way to Qatar by Ghana is still a thing of pain to millions of Nigeria including stakeholders and despite the letter of apologies tendered my the Nigeria Football Federation, things might take a new dimension totally different from what we're used to in the country as more events expected to take place in the next few days, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
In a normal and sane society, members of the Board of the NFF need not to be reminded of the right thing to do which is to tender their resignation letter immediately after failing to deliver yet again but in our society things like this like that are alien.
The Project 2022 Task Force has given the Board of the Nigeria Football Federation under the leadership of Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick a week to tender their resignation letter since they failed to do that themselves.
The letter signed by the Secretary of Project Task Force, Edema Fuludu, and sent to the NFF, reads:
"With heavy pains in the heart of Nigerians and genuine football stakeholders following the disastrous and unpalatable ouster of Nigeria Super Eagles from the impending FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 the Project Task Force has decided that, to put our football in a proper perspective and save our football there shall be an end to an improper administration to our football."
"The Task Force has therefore ask the Board of the NFF led by Mr. Amaju Pinnick to honourably resign within one week effective from the date of this letter."
"The current NFF Board does not need any prodding to do the needful as would obtain within normal societies."
This is a right step in the right direction but all hands are on deck as events unfolds in the coming days
