By Our Reporter

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has set Saturday 13th August, 2022 as date for the Annual General Assembly, BSNSports.com.ng gathered.

The NFF according to report is putting everything in place in making sure that the Congress which precede the Elective Congress is held.

Recall that the Federal Government in a letter through the Ministry of Sports has asked that the Election is held as and when due as four-year tenure of second term of Amaju Pinnick led board ends in September.

It was reported the Federation is working towards getting a venue and date for the Congress before the delegates are communicated.

The congress which has been contentious for a while, is expected to discuss the setting up of the Electoral Committee and possibly fixing of dates for elections. It could not be ascertain if the amendment of statutes would be accommodated in the congress. But, we gathered that other relevant stakeholders may be included as observers, while steps to include them as delegates would be effected after the elections.

The NFF had stated that the Elections would not be held until the court order stopping it from holding the Congress is vacated. The Claimant had since vacated the ex-parte order at the Bayelsa High Court to pave way for the Congress
