NFF Election: FIFA And CAF Observers To Arrive Nigeria Today

Despite the risk of being arrested by security agents for contempt of court order in Benin City, FIFA and CAF Observers will arrive in Nigeria today (Wednesday), ahead of the 2022 Nigeria Football Federation elections billed for Frida,y September 30th, reports BSNSports.com.ng.
Elections into the Nigeria Football Federation Executive Committee; following the expiration of the Amaju Pinnick-led board, have been riddled with an impending court order.
Recall Honourable Justice I.E Ekwo of the Federal High Court Abuja on the 15th day of September 2022, put a stop to the election pending the hearing of the substantive suit.
Regardless of that, a representative of the World football governing body and three (3) from the Confederation of African Football will be observers at the elections in Benin City, Edo State.
Current 1st Vice President Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi; 2nd Vice President, Mallam Shehu Dikko; Chairman of Chairmen, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau; Member of Board, Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande; immediate past General Secretary, Barr. Musa Amadu and; Head of Safety and Security of the Confederation of African Football, Dr Christian Emeruwa top the list.
Also, former NFF 1st Vice President, Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam; Chairman of the FCT Football Association, Mallam Adam Mouktar Mohammed; former Nigeria international goalkeeper, Peterside Idah; former Chairman of Kano Pillars FC and respected technocrat, Alhaji Abba Abdullahi Yola and UK-based David-Buhari Doherty, are the leading Presidential aspirants cleared to run for the exalted NFF post.
The Federation is not looking back in holding the scheduled Elective Congress on Friday in Benin City, Edo State.
