NFF Elections: Club Owners Receive Ex-international, Akwuegbu

Nigeria international Benedict Akwuegbu who's among the list of Presidential Aspirants biding to replace Amaju Pinnick as Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Wednesday met with the egg-heads of the Club Owners Association of Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Akwuegbu was received in audience by Executive Members of the clubs association in Nigeria Professional Football League, led by Chief Barrister Isaac Danladi (Chairman), Chief Alloy Chukuemeka (Executive Secretary) and Jude Anyadufu (Coordinator) in Abuja.
According to Chukuemeka who didn't provide much details of Akwuegbu's visit on informed.
"It was a consultative meeting between both parties and nothing more."
With Amaju's tenure ending in September, the Nigeria Football Federation has set Saturday 13th August, 2022 for its Annual General Assembly, to pave way for new elections into the board.
In a separate development, the Club Owners Executive also met with the League Management Company (LMC) to review the domestic season that ended about a month and discuss on the projections for next season.
Recall Rivers United were crowned champions of the 2021/22 season after finishing top on the log with 77points from 38 matches.
