NFF Elective Congress Holds September 30 In Edo, As Pinnick Bows Out

The 2022 Elective Congress of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is now to hold on 30th of September in Benin City, the Edo State capital, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The development was gathered during the 2022 NFF's Annual General Assembly holding in Lagos where the Electoral and Appeal Committees were set up ahead of the September 30 elections. The Annual General Assembly held Thursday marked an end to Amaju Malvin Pinnick's eight year reign as President of Nigeria's apex football body as he declared before the Congress that he would not run again.

The new election date is a 10-day elongation as September 30th is fixed for the NFF elections. Meanwhile, the Elective Congress supposed to hold on September 20 as the Pinnick board was elected in 2018.

The 44-man Congress did reject October 20th which was the proposed as the election date, but the Congress adopted the original date, September 30th.
