NFF Publishes Election Guidelines, Begins Sale of Nomination Forms August 1

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Electoral Committee has released the official timetable and guidelines for the 2026 NFF Executive Committee elections, with the sale of nomination forms set to commence on Saturday, August 1, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the electoral roadmap, prospective candidates have until Wednesday, August 12, to submit their completed nomination forms ahead of the elections, which will take place on September 27 in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

The committee disclosed that candidates will be notified of any irregularities in their submitted documents between August 13 and August 19. The period for the regularisation of documents has been scheduled for August 20 to August 27, while the screening of candidates will take place from August 27 to August 30.

The provisional list of cleared candidates will be published on August 31. Aspirants disqualified during the screening process will have from September 1 to September 3 to lodge appeals, while the Electoral Appeals Committee is expected to determine all appeals between September 4 and September 10.

The final list of cleared candidates will be released between September 11 and September 12, with the publication of the delegates' list scheduled for September 13.

Campaign activities for cleared candidates will run from September 14 to September 24, ahead of the NFF Elective Congress on September 27 in Lafia.

The Electoral Committee also fixed September 30 as the deadline for the submission of election petitions.
