NFF Releases 26-man Golden Eaglets List For CAF U17 AFCON

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Sunday unveiled the 26-man list of players that finally made the cut to represent the country at the 2023 CAF U17 African Nations Cup in Algeria, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The Golden Eaglets are scheduled to arrive at the Algerian city of Constantine on Sunday night for their final preparations for this year’s Africa U17 Cup of Nations.
After series of MRI test, 26 players who passed the test were on the trip to Algeria while others who either failed the test or could not measure up.the task were dropped.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, the head coach Nduka Ugbade said, “We are going to Algeria with confidence but with level heads. "We’re the champions of WAFU B, but in essence, nothing has been won. What matters now is winning a ticket to the FIFA World Cup and winning the Africa Cup. I believe we have the boys to do the job,â€
The Nigeria U17 squad will launch her campaign for continental glory at the 12-team championship on Sunday next week, against Zambia at the 22,000-capacity Stade Mohamed Hamlaoui, before playing Morocco and South Africa in other Group B games.
The top four-placed teams - finalists, and semifinalists, in Algeria, will qualify to represent Africa at the FIFA U17 World Cup finals scheduled for later this year.
