NFF Says No Set Target For Flamingoes At FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup

The Nigeria Football Federation said it will not place demands on the Women’s U17 National team (Flamingoes) at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

This statement was made by the General Secretary of the federation, Mohammed Sanusi.

Bankole Olowookere and his squad head out for Turkey; on the team’s final camp, ahead of next month’s World Cup in India.

In a chat with www.brila.net Sanusi insists that setting any World Cup target for the team, and at this level, may be counter productive for the Flamingoes.

He added that the Competition is primarily meant for developmental purposes hence the reason why they are simply been prepared adequately and charged to do well.
