NLO: Late Strike Earns Ben Akwuegbu FC Narrow Victory Over Atarah FC

Ben Akwuegbu FC secured a narrow 1–0 victory over Atarah FC in their Group B clash of the 2026 NLO Division One on Monday at Zaria Road Stadium, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The decisive moment came in the 75th minute when substitute Austin Stephen found the back of the net shortly after coming on in the second half, sealing all three points for his side.

Ben Akwuegbu FC dominated large stretches of the encounter and created several scoring opportunities but were unable to extend their lead. Kezman notably missed a clear chance in the second half, leaving the margin of victory slimmer than it might have been.

Team captain Pamshak Shwankop delivered an outstanding performance and was deservedly named Man of the Match.

Ben Akwuegbu FC will next take on Plateau United Feeders in their upcoming fixture scheduled for Saturday, April 24, at 4:00 p.m., also at Zaria Road Stadium.
