NLO Hammer Falls On Emir of Kano Club, Ramcy FC

The Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) has fined Ramcy FC of Kano the sum of Fifty thousand Naira (N50,000) and club been eliminated from the League, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The officials of the Club have also been banned for two years from participating in the League.
Ramcy FC had claimed they withdrew from the league following complaints about the 2021/22 League draws and poor officiating by the match officials.
The Chief Operating Officer of the NLO, Shola Ogunowo, in an exclusive interview with BSN Sports denied the allegation stating that all clubs in their Congress in 2017 agreed unanimously on the decision to use electronic means of conducting draw for the league. He cited Article 2.06 as punishment for withdrawal from the League. The Article stated thus, "Any club that withdraws expressly or is in default of registration after the fixtures are made shall forfeit its registration fees and status.
It continued, "Any Club that withdraws from the League after the fixtures have been made but before the commencement shall be liable to a fine of N50, 000.00 payable to the NLO. The club shall be withdrawn from the league completely and a replacement be made from the lower division among the best losers who fails to secure promotion.
"If a club withdraws after the first round, it shall be expelled from the competition and will not be eligible for readmission. All its results of matches played shall be cancelled.
" No Club can withdraw after the commencement of the season. If a club withdraws; it shall be expelled from the competition and will not be eligible for readmission. All officials of such clubs shall be banned for (2) years."
