NLO One Steps Down Referee Akinyemi Olaniran, Orders Replay Of Yewa FC vs Juvenile FC Match

The Nationwide League One (NLO One) has announced the immediate stepping down of referee Akinyemi Olaniran from officiating matches in the division following complaints regarding his performances, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to a statement released by the league body, the decision was taken after reviewing several complaints lodged against the referee, particularly concerning his handling of the NLO One fixtures at the Abeokuta Centre.

The statement highlighted concerns over Olaniran's officiating in the matches involving Yewa FC and Juvenile FC, as well as the earlier encounter between Best Talents FC and Yewa FC.

As part of the disciplinary measures, NLO One has also ordered a replay of the match between Yewa FC and Juvenile FC.

The league organisers noted that the actions were taken to uphold fairness, integrity, and the credibility of the competition, while reaffirming their commitment to ensuring high officiating standards throughout the season.
