NLO Rolls Out 2023 Fixtures Ahead May 3rd Kick off

The fixtures for the 2023 season of the Nationwide League One (Division One) has been released by the League organiser on Thursday, 20th April, 2023, BSNSports.com.ng can report..

The NLO in a letter signed by the Chief Operating Officer, Sola Ogunnowo confirmed the opening match for the season wihich involves Kano Pillars and Kwankwansiya FC at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kano on Wednesday 3rd May, 2023 at 3:00pm.

Before the kick off, the NLO will on Wednesday 26th April 2023 holds press briefing and unveiling of the new season. The details of the venue and time of the press briefing according to the league body will be communicated in due course to all concerned parties.

Meanwhile, the kickoff of the Youth League (U19) holds on Wednesday 7th June, 2023

Over 153 teams will be part of the 2023 season, with the teams expected to be divided into groups.

There will be three divisions (NL0 1,2,3) for the participating clubs.

The collection of players’ licenses has been conluded in the NLO.

The NLO 1 is the first division of the league and usually the last stage for teams to qualify for the country’s second-tier league, Nigeria National League (NNL).

After a regular season and playoff, four teams are expected to qualify for the second-tier league.
