The Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) Secretariat has handed indefinite suspensions to some officials and players of Ahudiyanem FC Abia over acts of misconduct and unsportsmanlike behaviour during their 2026 league match against Right 2 Win FC Abia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to a statement released by the league body, the sanctions followed a disturbing report received from the encounter involving both teams in the ongoing 2026 NLO season.
The NLO stated that the disciplinary action was taken in line with Article 4:07 of the league regulations pending the final determination of the case by the Disciplinary Committee.
Those suspended indefinitely from all NLO activities include the Team Manager and Assistant Coach of Ahudiyanem FC, alongside players, Anayo Chukwujekwu (jersey number 29), Christopher Onu (jersey number 7), and Emmanuel Ibeh (jersey number 11).
The league body also suspended the entire supporters’ club of Ahudiyanem FC from further participation in league activities.
In addition, the NLO directed the Chairman of Ahudiyanem FC to provide a written undertaking assuring the safety of match officials following reported threats allegedly made by some players and officials of the club.
Ahudiyanem FC was also fined the sum of N500,000, which must be paid before the club’s next fixture in the ongoing campaign.
However, the NLO clarified that no points were awarded to Right 2 Win FC because the match officials did not officially call off the game during the incident.
