NNL: Gateway United Changes Name

Ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, Gateway United Football Club has officially rebranded as Gateway Football Club, BDNSports.com.ng reports.
The management of the Abeokuta-based team confirmed that the name change is part of a broader restructuring aimed at giving the club a modern identity and aligning with international football standards.
Gateway Football Club will kick off their NNL 2025/26 campaign with a home fixture against Inter Lagos FC at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Kuto, Abeokuta, on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
The Ogun State-owned side will be hoping that the rebranding ushers in a new era of success as they target promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
