The tussle for topflight football continued on Saturday in the Nigeria National League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
In Northern Conference Group A1, El Kanemi Warriors moved temporarily to the summit of the league after holding Yobe Dessert Stars to a goalless draw in Dutse.
The draw lift them to the top on goal difference probably till Sunday evening when City FC takes Zamfara United.
Other games in Group A1 played on Saturday, ABS moved closer to the top as they were awarded 3 points and 3 goals walkover against Oyah Sports. Sokoto United pip EFCC FC by a lone while Mighty Jets FC beat FWC Champions 2-1.
Still to come in Sunday in the group the game Zamfara United and City FC which could change the group standings.
I'm Group A2, Malumfashi FC moved level on points with Jigawa Golden Stars after beating Doma United 2-1 on Friday.
On Saturday, Kogi United and Kebbi United share the spoils in Lokoja as NAF FC put 2 past Adamawa United. DMD FC also close the gap on the top after beating JM Liberty 2-0 while Green Berets dashed Jigawa Golden Stars hope to extend their lead on top of the summit after beating them by a lone goal.
In Group B2, Gateway United held on to the top of the log for yet another week after beating Ibom Youths 1-0 while Bendel Insurance continue to put pressure on them following their 2-1 win over Giant Brillars in Benin.
Ikorodu City defeated Ekiti United 2-0 while Osun United pip J'Atete by a lone goal.
Earlier on Friday Vandrezzer FC of Lagos were 2-0 winners over Campos FC.
Still to come in the group on Sunday, Abeokuta Stormers hosts Adoration FC.
Ottasolo FC moved temporarily out of the relegation zone on Saturday following their hard-fought 2-1 win over Crown FC at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos.
Ijebu United shared the spoils with Apex Krane FC 2-2 as Nnewi United and Warri Wolves also played 1-1.
Still to come in the group on Sunday, Cynosure FC vs FC One Rocket, Go-Round FC vs Bayelsa United and Sporting Lagos vs Abia Comet
