NNL: Lobi Stars Adopt Lafia City Stadium As Home Ground

Lobi Stars have confirmed the adoption of the Lafia City Stadium as their home ground for the 2025/26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Lafia City Stadium, which also serves as the home ground for Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Nasarawa United and NNL outfit FC Basira, will now host the Makurdi-based team’s home fixtures throughout the campaign.

Lobi Stars were forced to seek an alternative venue after their traditional base, the McCarthy Stadium, failed to meet the NNL’s requirements to stage league matches.

The team will commence their NNL campaign this weekend with a keenly anticipated encounter against City FC at the Lafia City Stadium.

The 2025/26 NNL season officially kicked off last Saturday, with FC Basira marking their debut with an impressive 3-1 victory over Mighty Jets in Lafia.
