NNL: Madiba FC Extends Lead to Seven Points, As Ikorodu City FC Leapfrog Inter Lagos FC

The 2023/2024 Nigeria National League, NNL, season is beginning to seperate the contenders from the pretenders as four private clubs are doing the business at the top, BSNSports.com.ng reports.Â
High-flying Madiba FC are cruising for a place in the play-off after extending their lead to seven points in Conference A. Madiba got the better of Ekiti United 2-0 to sit on top of the log with 25 points.Â
They are followed by Beyond Limits FC, who have a date with Edel FC on Sunday while Dakkada FC surprisingly picked an away win over Stormers FC.Â
Despite holding Abia Comets to a pulsating 2-2 draw, Vandrezzer FC are still in the relegation zone with 13 points. 1472 FC, who will clash with Smart City FC have a chance to go out of the relegation zone.Â
In Conference B, Ikorodu City FC leapfrogged Inter Lagos FC after a convincing 3-1 win over Crown FC to move to 18 points while Inter Lagos drew with Osun United FC at home to occupy the second position on 17 points.Â
FC One Rocket and Warri Wolves, who have a game with Ijebu United and Tradesafe FC respectively, have a chance to move out of the relegation zone.Â
At the end of the regular season, the top two clubs in each group will advance for the play-offs while the bottom three clubs will engage in the relegation play-off for a place in the lower division.
