NNL: Sokoto United Issues Deadline To Retained Players

As preparations intensify for the new Nigeria National League (NNL) season, Sokoto United has handed its retained players a strict deadline to report back to camp, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The club confirmed that 26 players have been retained for the upcoming campaign, with all of them expected to resume training on Monday, August 25, 2025.

General Manager, Umar Maraya, announced the directive in a statement released on Monday, stressing that disciplinary action awaits any player who fails to comply.

“We have carefully reviewed the squad and retained players we believe can deliver for the club,” Maraya stated.

“All retained players must resume on or before Monday, August 25, 2025, as training will begin immediately. Any player who fails to resume as directed will face penalties.”
