Ahead of the Nigeria National League Super 8 playoff, the management of Sokoto United has unveiled a new manager who will steer the club, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The club parted ways with Mansur Abdullahi who left the club after having a misunderstanding with the club hierarchy.

The club on Sunday afternoon unveiled Peter Ajani as the club's new gaffer.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Assistant Coach Peter Ajani as the new head coach,” Sokoto United wrote on X.

“Leveraging his extensive knowledge and experience with the team to ensure a smooth transition.

“The management has every confidence in Coach Ajani’s ability to lead Sokoto United FC to success, building on the solid foundation established by his predecessor.”
