Crown FC will begin its quest for a promotion ticket to the Nigeria Premier Football League on Wednesday next week at the newly upgraded Soun Township Stadium in Ogbomoso, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The Ajilete Warriors are grouped in B2 with Gateway United, Ijebu United, Joy Cometh, Smart City FC and Sporting Lagos in the 2022/23 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The Ogbomoso-based side who finished second on the group B2 log last season behind Bayelsa United will begin their campaign against Gateway United.

A total of 43-team league, comprising 19 teams from the Northern Conference and 24 clubs from the Southern Conference are competing for the four available promotion tickets.

Winners of the eight groups (four (4) each from both conferences) will likely play in a Super 8 playoff tournament, which will be held at a neutral stadium.

The top four teams at the playoffs will gain promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
