NNL 24: Madiba FC Beat Ekiti United FC to Maintain Top Position

Madiba FC defeated Ekiti United 2-0 in the Nigeria National League Match Day 11 Southern Conference Group A clash at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium, Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng reports.Â
In the early stages of the first half, Adaralegbe Temitope of Madiba FC opened the scoring with a goal from a free kick taken from a wide angle of the pitch in the 6th minute.
The supporters of Madiba FC rejoiced as Dada Oladimeji doubled the lead from the spot after Egbonwon Harrison was brought down in the penalty area by the Ekiti United FC goalkeeper in the 43rd minute.
Both teams' defenses were solid in the second half, with no further goals scored. Madiba FC's manager, Solomon Bala, made key substitutions, bringing in Isah Mohammed, Ndubuisi Anthony, Adeyemi Mayowa, Aliu Solomon, and Fadeyi Sunday to bolster the frontline.
Madiba FC's goalkeeper, Adeniyi Olukunmi, thwarted Ekiti United FC's efforts, saving five shots to maintain his five clean sheets in 10 games.
Madiba FC remains atop the table in the Southern Conference Group A with 25 points as the league reaches the mid-season mark.
The Oshodi Boys will now prepare to face Ekiti United FC in Ado Ekiti after the mid-season break.
